Smalț has three dental clinics: London (Marylebone), Bucharest (Dorobanți) and Dubai (DIFC), with 12 dentists and one working rule: the diagnosis with a 3D CT scan comes first, the full price is written in advance, and treatment starts only when you decide.

Why "Smalț"

Smalț is Romanian for enamel, the outer layer of the tooth and the hardest tissue in the human body. Enamel does not grow back once it is lost, so every treatment at Smalț starts from the question of how much of the natural tooth can be kept. The name says what we protect, not what we sell.

How we work

    Diagnosis first

    Every treatment starts with the 45-minute diagnosis with a 3D CT scan, at any of the three clinics. In London it costs £395. No treatment is done that day.

  2. 02

    The price in writing

    The written plan arrives within 48 hours, with each option and its full price. What is not in the plan does not appear at the desk.

  3. 03

    Your pace

    Sessions are booked by stage, with their length written in advance. A pause signal is agreed at the first visit.

  4. 04

    Your documents

    The CT scan, photographs and treatment report are yours, in Romanian or English, so you can show them to any dentist.

London, Marylebone. 2 treatment rooms, a CBCT scanner and an intraoral scanner, with 5 dentists: oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, general dentistry and orthodontics. Diagnosis, implants and restorations are done here, at London prices.

Bucharest, Dorobanți. The main clinic: 4 treatment rooms, a CBCT scanner, the ceramics lab and a recovery room for intravenous sedation. 4 dentists work here: oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics and a senior general dentist. Implants and complex work are done here.

Dubai, DIFC. 2 treatment rooms, a CBCT scanner, an intraoral scanner and a microscope, with 3 dentists: oral surgery, endodontics and general dentistry. Diagnosis, implants and root canal treatment are done here, with visits grouped by stage.

The ceramics lab in Bucharest makes the crowns, veneers and bridges for all three clinics. Every clinic has a sterilisation room with separate routes for clean and used instruments, and appointments are spaced out.

What we do not do

  • we do not start treatment on the day of the diagnosis
  • we do not publish minimum prices, only full prices
  • we do not promise how long a restoration will last, because it depends on hygiene and check-ups
  • we do not use generated or retouched smiles as results
