Cases
Cases
A clinical case shows a real problem, the treatment chosen, the number of visits and the price paid. Below are the rules we follow when presenting a case, and 3 cases, each with the treatment, visits and price.
The rules for a published case
The advertising guide of the Romanian College of Dentists allows before and after photographs and the clinic's own cases, with patient consent and respect for anonymity. It does not allow images that suggest unrealistic results.
- written patient consent, given before publication and withdrawable at any time
- no name, no full face, no detail that could identify the patient
- photographs taken in the same lighting, without retouching
- the treatment, number of visits or trips, duration and price paid
- a note that results depend on each individual case
Case 1 · a missing molar
An adult of 42, living in Germany, with a lower first molar missing for 3 years. The CT scan shows enough bone, with no graft needed. Treatment was a complete dental implant, for £3,950, over two trips 4 months apart, of 5 and 4 days. The £395 diagnosis was paid separately.
Case 2 · worn front teeth
A patient of 35 with 6 front teeth worn down by grinding. The plan had two options: 6 ceramic veneers for £10,500, or 6 composite veneers for £3,300. She chose ceramic, done in one trip of 6 working days, plus a night guard.
Case 3 · a painful molar
An adult of 29 with pain from cold on an upper molar. The X-ray shows decay that has reached the nerve. Treatment was a root canal under the microscope, for £1,350, in 2 visits, followed by an all-ceramic crown for £1,650, made in the Smalț ceramics lab in Bucharest.
